THREE CHOICES - THREE MEN

THREE MEN - THREE CHOICES
Hey Third Baptist Youth!

Last Night we talked read from Matthew 27 and Luke 23. We studied the three men that hung on the cross and how each man had a different choice to make. We saw the first choice made was Redemption, the man hanging on the center cross. This was the choice made by Christ to suffer and die for us on the cross so that through Him we might have a relationship with God that through Him, He opened the door for all of us to go to heaven. The second choice we studied was the choice of Rejection. This was one of the thieves hanging to the side of Jesus. This thief chose to reject Christ and only judgment awaited him after death. The last choice we studied was the choice of Repentance. The thief hanging to the other side of Christ chose to accept Christ. We saw how at first he mocked Jesus, but then he had a change of heart. To repent means to make a change and that's exactly what this other thief did. He now is going to be with Jesus in Heaven. He saw that he deserved to die for his sin, he saw that Christ was an innocent man and he accepted the gift of salvation from Christ. He chose to believe! Jesus tells him that he will be remembered in God's kingdom, that he is going to heaven. Each one of us has a choice to make in life. I pray that each one of us can say remember me in your kindgdom that each one of us will come to know Christ and that each one of us will live a life directed toward that center cross where Christ was crucifed and live a life devoted and pleasing to HIM!
